Dollmob

Dollmob is committed to making its website, applications, content, and community features accessible and usable for as many people as possible.

Dollmob is a community platform for doll collectors, artists, customizers, photographers, makers, sellers, companies, historians, and curious users from around the world. Accessibility is part of making the Service welcoming, useful, and sustainable.

This Accessibility Statement explains Dollmob’s accessibility goals, current efforts, known limitations, and how users can contact Dollmob about accessibility issues.

1. Our Accessibility Commitment

Dollmob aims to provide a Service that is accessible to users with disabilities, including users who rely on:

  • Screen readers.
  • Keyboard navigation.
  • Voice control tools.
  • Screen magnification.
  • Captions or transcripts.
  • Color contrast support.
  • Reduced motion settings.
  • Alternative input devices.
  • Assistive technologies built into browsers, operating systems, and devices.

Dollmob intends to improve accessibility over time as the Service grows.

2. Accessibility Standards

Dollmob’s goal is to work toward substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), currently targeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable.

This includes working toward:

  • Clear page structure and headings.
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls.
  • Visible focus indicators.
  • Sufficient color contrast.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images where appropriate.
  • Form labels and accessible error messages.
  • Support for browser zoom and responsive layouts.
  • Avoiding interface behavior that traps keyboard or screen reader users.
  • Respecting reduced-motion preferences where appropriate.
  • Clear link, button, and control names.
  • Accessible moderation, reporting, account, listing, messaging, and privacy tools.

3. Current Accessibility Efforts

Dollmob may take steps such as:

  • Testing core user flows with keyboard navigation.
  • Testing pages with screen reader tools.
  • Using semantic HTML where appropriate.
  • Providing labels for forms, buttons, and controls.
  • Providing alternative text fields for uploaded images where appropriate.
  • Designing interfaces with color contrast in mind.
  • Avoiding reliance on color alone to communicate important information.
  • Supporting browser zoom and responsive layouts.
  • Reviewing modals, menus, dropdowns, and interactive controls for accessibility.
  • Making account, privacy, moderation, content-control, and safety tools accessible.
  • Improving accessibility as issues are identified.

4. User-Generated Content

Dollmob includes user-generated content, such as photos, listings, profiles, comments, wiki entries, closet items, doll profiles, and private messages.

Because users create much of this content, Dollmob may not be able to guarantee that all user-generated content is fully accessible.

Dollmob may provide tools or guidance to help users make their content more accessible, such as:

  • Alternative text fields for images.
  • Image descriptions.
  • Clear listing descriptions.
  • Structured fields for item information.
  • Content labels.
  • Captions or text descriptions where appropriate.
  • Wiki formatting guidance.

Users are encouraged to describe important visual details when posting images, listings, tutorials, references, or other content that may be useful to the community.

5. Images, Doll Photography, and Visual Content

Dollmob is a visually rich platform. Many features may include doll photography, sculpt references, customization examples, clothing photos, wig tutorials, listings, and visual comparison materials.

Dollmob will work toward making visual content easier to understand and navigate for users who cannot fully access images, including through structured fields, descriptions, labels, and search metadata where reasonably practicable.

Some images may include sensitive visual content or doll nudity. Dollmob may use labels, blur settings, content warnings, or user controls to manage how sensitive content is displayed. Dollmob will work toward making those controls accessible.

6. Known Limitations

Dollmob is an evolving Service. Some features may not yet be fully accessible.

Known or possible limitations may include:

  • Some user-generated content may lack alternative text or descriptions.
  • Some uploaded images may not be fully described.
  • Some third-party embeds, links, payment tools, donation tools, analytics tools, or external services may not be controlled by Dollmob.
  • Some early features may require accessibility improvements after launch.
  • Some visual comparison, gallery, marketplace, or customization features may be difficult to make fully equivalent for non-visual users.
  • Some automated content labels or sensitive-content detection tools may make mistakes.

Dollmob intends to identify and improve accessibility issues over time.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may include links to or integrations with third-party services, such as hosting providers, analytics tools, donation platforms, payment services, external marketplaces, shipping services, embedded media, or social platforms.

Dollmob does not control all third-party services and cannot guarantee their accessibility.

If a third-party service creates an accessibility barrier, Dollmob may try to provide an alternative where reasonably practicable.

8. Feedback and Assistance

Dollmob welcomes accessibility feedback.

10. Ongoing Improvement
