Dollmob

Dollmob is a community platform for doll collectors, artists, customizers, photographers, sculptors, modelers, historians, tailors, sellers, companies, and curious users from around the world.

These Content Policy & Community Guidelines explain what is allowed on Dollmob, what is not allowed, how Dollmob may moderate content or behavior, and what users can expect when participating in the Service.

These Guidelines are incorporated into Dollmob’s Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

1. Core Principles

Dollmob is built around shared interest, creative expression, community knowledge, and collector trust.

Dollmob rejects the idea that any platform should position itself as the final authority on a community it exists to serve. Doll art is global, imaginative, technically diverse, and culturally expansive. It cannot be reduced to a single standard determined by a small group of people.

Dollmob’s rules are intended to protect users and preserve the usefulness of the community, not to enforce one aesthetic, one collecting style, one creative standard, or one version of the hobby.

Users are expected to participate in good faith, respect other users, follow the law, and use the Service in ways that support community safety, trust, and access.

2. Who These Guidelines Apply To

These Guidelines apply to all use of Dollmob, including:

3. General Content Standards

  • Violates any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right.
  • Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights, including content created using generative AI or other automated tools.

  • Contains non-consensual intimate imagery or sexualized real-person imagery.
  • Is fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or intended to scam users.
  • Contains spam, phishing, malware, suspicious links, credential-harvesting attempts, or platform manipulation.
  • Attempts to evade content filters, moderation actions, account restrictions, age gates, bans, or technical limits.
  • Uses Dollmob data, User Content, Community Contributions, listings, images, text, metadata, or other Service materials to train, fine-tune, develop, evaluate, improve, or operate artificial intelligence models, machine learning systems, datasets, or similar automated tools without Dollmob’s express written permission.

Dollmob may remove or restrict content that violates these Guidelines or creates risk for users, the Service, or the community.

4. Respectful Participation

Dollmob users may disagree, critique, debate, and discuss the hobby. Users may not use the Service to harass, intimidate, shame, stalk, threaten, exploit, or target others.

Do not:

  • Attack users based on identity, appearance, disability, nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, body, income, collecting style, experience level, language, location, or similar traits.
  • Use slurs, dehumanizing language, or targeted insults.
  • Encourage pile-ons, brigading, dogpiling, harassment campaigns, or off-platform targeting.

  • Use private messages to pressure, threaten, manipulate, sexually harass, scam, or abuse another user.

Criticism of products, brands, public listings, public business practices, and public-facing creative work may be allowed when it is specific, truthful, and not abusive. Criticism becomes a moderation issue when it turns into harassment, defamation, threats, identity-based abuse, or coordinated targeting.

5. Doll Nudity and Sensitive Visual Content

Dollmob recognizes that doll-related content may include non-sexual doll nudity. This may include images showing doll bodies for:

  • Customization.
  • Repair.
  • Identification.

Non-sexual doll nudity may be allowed when it is presented in a hobby, artistic, educational, documentation, or marketplace context.

Dollmob may classify, blur, label, restrict, remove, or limit visibility for sensitive visual content. Dollmob may use automated tools, user reports, manual review, user controls, blur settings, content labels, and visibility settings.

Users may not use doll nudity as a way to post sexual, exploitative, predatory, or pornographic content.

Users may not post:

  • Sexual content involving minors.
  • Sexualized depictions of real minors or people who appear to be minors.
  • Real-person sexual imagery.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery.

Dollmob may access, review, preserve, disclose, restrict, or remove private messages where reasonably necessary to operate the Service, enforce the Terms of Service, investigate abuse, respond to user reports, comply with law, prevent harm, or protect Dollmob, users, or others.

8. Listings and Marketplace-Adjacent Conduct

Dollmob may allow eligible users to create listings for dolls, doll clothing, accessories, supplies, or related items.

Listings are informational and community-facing. Dollmob does not process payments, hold funds, provide escrow, ship items, verify transactions, calculate taxes, or act as a buyer, seller, broker, auctioneer, payment processor, marketplace facilitator, or agent for any user.

Users are responsible for their own listings and off-platform transactions.

Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.

Users may not:

  • Misrepresent item condition, ownership, authenticity, price, availability, shipping status, or transaction terms.

The Dollmob wiki knowledge base is intended to remain publicly available where reasonably practicable.

11. Intellectual Property and Generative AI

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the rights necessary to upload, post, list, or share content.

Do not upload or share content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.

This applies even if the content was created, edited, transformed, summarized, or generated using artificial intelligence or automated tools.

Generative AI may not be used as a shield for infringement, impersonation, plagiarism, counterfeit listings, fake provenance, deceptive images, false claims, or misleading marketplace activity.

Users may not use Dollmob User Content, Community Contributions, listings, images, text, metadata, or Service data to train, fine-tune, develop, evaluate, improve, or operate artificial intelligence models, machine learning systems, datasets, or similar automated tools without Dollmob’s express written permission.

13. Advertising, Sponsorships, and Promotional Content

Dollmob may support the Service through donations, sponsorships, paid placements, or advertising.

Advertising and sponsorships must be clearly labeled and should not be confused with user-generated content, community posts, wiki entries, listings, messages, or personal recommendations.

Users may not post undisclosed advertising, deceptive endorsements, affiliate spam, fake reviews, fake testimonials, or misleading promotional content.

Artists, sellers, brands, companies, and creators may participate in the community, but they must do so honestly and transparently.

Users experiencing a crisis should contact local emergency services, a crisis line, or a trusted person.

Dollmob is not required to apply the same action in every situation.

18. Appeals

Dollmob may provide a way for users to appeal certain moderation decisions.

Appeals should explain:

  • What decision is being appealed.

19. Reports

Users may report content, listings, messages, accounts, or behavior that may violate these Guidelines.

Reports should be made in good faith.

20. Account Deletion and Retained Safety Records

When an account is deleted or terminated, Dollmob may remove, hide, scrub, anonymize, or de-identify public account information such as display name, profile text, avatar, bio, and other public-facing fields where reasonably practicable.
