Feature Update: Canvas Tools and Workshops

After spending some time updating the UI, (which still has a LONG way to go...) I got the itch to improve on the feature set.

This update includes improvements to Canvases and introduces Workshops: a new user content area where users manage Projects and Supplies.

What's New In Canvas

When you create a new Canvas, you can now choose from one of three templates to get you started.

There are also new export options: PDF, PNG and SVG

The pen tool got an overhaul, with point and curve editing

Gradients have been added as fills to drawn objects

The shape tool now has a subtool menu that allows you to select the shape you want to draw

Workshops

Workshops are a new user content area where you'll find Projects and Supplies.

Supplies track your inventory of raw materials, like fabric

Projects can be used to track works in progress or save finished work linked to Supplies

You can link projects to dolls or closet items, which comes in handy if you work on costumes for contests, make a lot of items to sell, or tend to have a lot of materials stashed away in your closet.

In the future, completing a project will automatically update your on-hand supply quantities and your linked closet items, which can then be listed on the Marketplace as finished products.

You can use Projects marked Public to share your progress with buyers when they commission a made to order item.

Supplies will also be listable in the Marketplace as raw materials so you can sell or trade your overstock and remnants.

Keeping listed supplies linked to projects gives your made-to-order items more exposure and gives your customers an opportunity to buy them and make matching extras to go with their purchase.
